Every parent at most want what is best for their children. Let's talk about how learning music at an early age benefits young children. In this blog, we'll help you understand why it is important to encourage your child to play musical instruments when growing up. Enjoy!
"This is a fantastic place to learn music from children of all ages to adults. The teachers have over 20 years of experience in piano and can play and teach other instruments as well. Super talented! They have a great attitude towards their students and have a fun way of embracing music altogether. I remember learning piano as a child and wished I was learning music through teachers and the program like Perfect Harmony. The location is great too. There is a Tim Hortons across the street, which I usually go to, and other great places for parents to go hang out while waiting. Definitely recommend!"

1. Improved Self-confidence and Concentration
Kids perform better at school when they start learning music early in life. They develop the ability to enhance their power to concentrate. This leads to improved reading ability, which also leads to better self-confidence throughout their development. Playing good music requires effective hand and eye coordination. A great example of this is through reading music while playing their instrument, simultaneously.
2. Improved Communication and Team Building Skills
Children are better communicators with others when they learn to share about music. This highlights how children can better build bridges and collaborate with others due to their interest in music.
3. Improved Study Abilities
Parents are able to support their child's music development and study because study habits and study skills are needed to bring discipline, which requires parent's involvement. This allows young children to prepare for higher education and maximize their learning capabilities in the future.
4. Improved Workplace Skills
Learning to play music at an early age does not only benefit children's learning abilities but it evidently also helps them learn highly valuable workplace skills. Nowadays, there is more demand for high discipline and concentration skills in the workplace. An example would be putting time into practicing their music allows them to level up their discipline and concentration.
There clearly are some lifelong positive effects and benefits on teaching music to children at a young age. The next important step, is to select the proper music for your child to play and decide the timing. Children definitely benefit from repetition and consistency, which is why setting up a music routine is important. Thankfully, many local music studios offer highly interactive and flexible music lessons to cater to each child because each student is different and require unique music learning education.
